Here you’ll find a variety of hand-made paper star earrings for sale. Each one is made individually with love, care, and the dream that these earrings will make your day or that of someone you know just a little bit brighter. The stars are folded from long strips of paper and then sprayed with a sealer to provide added durability and a bit of waterproofing, before carefully being crafted into earrings.
And as an added bonus, I’m donating 10% of my proceeds to good causes, changing about every other month, so you’ll have to check back here every once in a while to see what the new cause is! I take great care in picking out organizations that range in mission, but all are doing incredible work in putting words and dreams and imaginations to action and improving the world we live in.
The idea for creating these earrings started right after the tragic earthquake and tsunami that devastated Japan in the spring of 2011. As a fundraiser, I sold the earrings at my college and managed to raise almost $500. In combination with other relief efforts organized by my school’s Japan Relief Coalition, we donated directly to the Japanese prefectures most effected, including Fukushima and Iwate prefectures. With many thanks to all who supported our projects, I hope to be able to continue to use these whimsical little earrings to promote positive change.
